The blockchain's most feared investigator just got some serious backing from a big name.

ZachXBT – famous for his on-chain sleuthing targeting scammers and hackers – has officially joined Paradigm as their incident response advisor.

For scammers, this is basically like hearing Batman just got infinite funding.

The On-Chain Superhero

ZachXBT isn't your average crypto influencer posting moon predictions on Twitter.

This pseudonymous sleuth has personally helped recover over $350 million from scammers, hackers, and ruggers who thought they were untouchable.

Zach was among the first professionals to trace the recent $1.4 billion ByBit hack back to North Korea's Lazarus Group while most people were still trying to figure out what happened.

The guy literally does what three-letter agencies struggle with, armed with nothing but blockchain explorers and an unhealthy amount of determination… and a whole lot of natural skill.

Paradigm's Big Play

Matt Huang, Paradigm's co-founder, was clearly excited about having such a big name and industry veteran on the force, calling Zach a "legend" in blockchain forensics.

This isn't some PR stunt or compliance checkbox; it's Paradigm admitting that Web3 needs its vigilantes.

And frankly, the timing couldn't be better, with hacks now regularly reaching into the nine-figure range.

What this means for the broader industry is that the blockchain's best detective just got unlimited resources from a firm that helps enable heroes like him to do what they do best: stop the bad guys.

For this unaware, Paradigm isn't some small fry in the crypto pond – they've backed everything from Coinbase to Uniswap to FTX (okay, that last one wasn’t exactly a win, but still).

Zach now has a direct line to projects collectively worth billions, meaning quicker responses when things go sideways.

It's like if every bank in America suddenly had direct access to the world's best bank robbery investigator.

The average rugpuller is now looking at their opsec and sweating bullets, because their previously "brilliant" scheme of "token → mixer → cash out" isn't exactly going to cut it anymore as tools get more advanced and sleuths like Zach become more keen to their antics.

Business As Usual

Zach made it clear that this isn't changing his day job of publicly shaming crypto criminals – he's still going to be dropping those legendary Twitter threads exposing scammers with all the data to back it up.

The only difference now is he's got institutional backing while he does it.

And this partnership drops at a critical moment for the entire industry.

With the Lazarus Group stealing billions, regulators targeting everything with "crypto" in the name, and Tornado Cash developers facing serious jail time, Web3 needs more good cops, not fewer.

The industry is finally growing up, moving from "code is law and good luck" to actually investing in security infrastructure that matters.

And hidden in all of this is a pretty fundamental shift – major investment firms are now hiring blockchain detectives rather than just another army of compliance lawyers.

Zach’s New (Well-Deserved) Recognition

ZachXBT joining Paradigm is bullish for the entire ecosystem.

Somewhere right now, a scammer who thought they got away clean is frantically moving funds again, knowing that Zach just leveled up.

And honestly, they deserve it – stealing is wrong, whether on-chain or IRL.
