Elon Musk posts photo with chainsaw labeled "The Dogefather," triggering 122% pump in DOGEFATHER token and spawning multiple copycat meme coins.
The Dogefather is back at it again, and this time, he's brought power tools to the party.
Elon posted a single photo of himself with a chainsaw, and the meme coin market went absolutely nuclear.
And somewhere, a bunch of devs just made more money than Tesla's entire Bitcoin stash from the world’s richest man dawning lumberjack equipment – what a silly timeline.
It started with Elon dropping a photoshopped pic of himself wielding a chainsaw with "The Dogefather" text splashed across it.
The caption? "This is a real picture" – and that's all it took to send CT into a full-blown frenzy.
Even for Elon, who can pump DOGE by changing his profile pic, this was an unexpectedly wild move – it’s the one time a chainsaw helps things grow instead of cutting them down.
On the back of the news, DOGEFATHER shot up 122%.
Its copycat token pumped even harder at 137%, because of course one Dogefather token wasn't enough for the market – copycats (or, in this case, copydogs) are inevitable when it comes to meme coins.
Naturally, following the news, new Dogefather tokens started popping up like NFT collections in 2021.
Never a dull moment.
This is the same energy as when Elon recently changed his name to "Harry Bōlz" and created three new millionaires from the subsequent meme coin fallout.
Remember when he put the DOGE logo on the Department of Government Efficiency website as a joke?
That pump was legendary… or unethical, depending on which side of the trade you were on.
At this point, Elon could sneeze on camera, make a joke about it, and some dev would launch $SNEEZE token within 10 minutes of the event unfolding.
What’s most interesting about this whole chainsaw angle is that it isn’t just Elon being eccentric – the tool was actually a gift from Argentina's President Milei at CPAC as a show of support for his work at DOGE.
It came with Milei's signature "Viva la libertad, carajo" engraved on it, which, while not exactly subtle, shows that there’s a budding love between international figures with the shared goal of minimizing government waste and cutting through bureaucratic red tape.
Elon's response was to call his newfound gift "The chainsaw for bureaucracy" – perfectly on brand for the guy running the Department of DOGE.
It seems the Musk effect is still stronger than ever in 2025.
Degen traders are making and losing fortunes faster than ever based on his posts, and folks eagerly await the next meme the billionaire will drop.
Just make sure not to lose your shirt chasing the trend – after all, a chainsaw it a good tool, but letting one cut down your portfolio is ill advised.
