Centrifuge has launched a new tokenization service called Whitelabel, with Daylight as its first client, to simplify the process of bringing real-world assets on-chain.
Centrifuge, a pioneer in real-world asset (RWA) tokenization, introduced Whitelabel, a new infrastructure service designed for institutions and DeFi projects. The platform allows companies to create, issue, and manage tokenized assets in a secure and customizable way.
The first partner to use Whitelabel is Daylight, a decentralized energy network focused on renewable energy financing. Through this partnership, Daylight will tokenize energy-related assets, allowing investors to gain exposure to on-chain representations of solar and energy projects.
Whitelabel makes it easier for businesses to tokenize a wide range of assets, including private credit, renewable energy projects, and infrastructure. The platform is modular, which means organizations can integrate it with their existing systems while maintaining compliance and transparency.
For Daylight, the integration will allow investors to participate directly in tokenized energy portfolios. This approach could open a new chapter in how renewable energy projects raise capital and attract global investors through blockchain technology.
The launch highlights how tokenization is moving from concept to implementation. Real-world assets are becoming a significant growth area in decentralized finance, bridging traditional industries with blockchain-based systems.
By simplifying issuance, custody, and investor onboarding, Centrifuge’s Whitelabel solution could help unlock liquidity for markets that were previously illiquid or geographically limited. It also strengthens the case for tokenization as a practical tool for financing real-world projects, not just financial assets.
Despite growing adoption, tokenizing real-world assets still faces challenges. Regulatory frameworks remain unclear in many regions, especially around securities classification and investor protection. Liquidity for tokenized assets is also limited, as secondary markets are still developing.
Centrifuge and Daylight will need to demonstrate that tokenized renewable assets can achieve both transparency and long-term investor confidence. Success here could set a precedent for other industries exploring similar blockchain-based financing models.
Centrifuge’s new platform signals a shift toward scalable, compliant tokenization infrastructure. With Daylight leading the way, the next phase of RWA adoption may come from industries that combine tangible assets with digital transparency.
As more companies explore tokenization through tools like Whitelabel, the concept of real-world assets on-chain could become an integral part of the future financial system.
