Desperate trader takes life on crypto livestream after losing $500, requesting "make me a meme coin." Community divided as tokens launch within minutes of tragedy.
We’re sad to report that someone just took their life on a crypto livestream for the sake of a meme coin.
Somehow, it got even darker from there as a 23-year-old trader, known as "MistaFuccYou," loaded up X and made the kind of decision you can't take back.
And the crypto world's response shows just how far we've strayed from the light.
The trader had just lost his last $500 to another rug pull – an unfortunately classic tale in this industry.
However, the usual end to this story is depression and another shift at work, not death.
His final words echo the reality of the industry that has grown disfigured beyond recognition to many who herald its original principles: "If I die, make me a meme coin."
Three trigger pulls later, thousands of viewers witnessed something they'll never forget.
It’s at this point we want to affirm – things will get better for you.
Don’t make a permanent decision to fix a temporary problem – no amount of money, coin, or narrative is worth the pain and grief you’ll heap on those who love you should you ever think of heading down this same dark path.
As for our tragic story, the stream kept running for 30 minutes after it happened.
And because crypto has completely lost its soul, some folks started launching tokens before anyone could even process what happened.
Someone had even sent him 70% of a token's supply before the stream – making everyone wonder if this was some sick marketing plan gone wrong.
Half of CT is trying to profit off this tragedy, while the other half is watching in horror as people turn a person’s live-streamed death into the next pump and dump.
When someone asked "WTF is wrong with crypto?" nobody had a good answer after witnessing this circus.
This isn't about gains or losses.
This is about what we've become as a community.
Mental health in crypto isn't a joke – mental health anywhere isn’t a joke.
Neither is losing everything to scammers, but it’s not worth your soul.
We're so numb to rug pulls and scams that we've forgotten there are real people behind these wallet addresses – people with families, friends, and others who love them.
If you know someone who's down, reach out – it might take just a few minutes to change the course of someone’s life.
The authorities haven't confirmed if this was pre-planned, a marketing stunt gone awry, or just a plain old tragedy.
But whatever it is, we just watched the crypto community's soul get tested – and we failed hard.
It's time we all take a step back and remember why we got into this space in the first place – and it wasn't to profit from death.
